Fiona Wood
I like to think of myself as a maker. I love to create constantly. I can't seem to stick to just one medium or technique. I'm always trying new things. My first love was probably ceramics and I still just love getting my hands dirty with clay and creating beautiful ceramic pieces. I also love mosaics and sometimes combine the two. In recent years I've really loved weaving in the winter months and producing macrame pot hangers. I also have a love of painting, mainly abstracts these days. Recently I've discovered I love to paint on pots. For the past year I've also been playing with alcohol inks, producing jewellery, dishes and paintings. I also love making candles and often put these in my home made ceramic pots. Let's just say my hands are rarely resting. I love to share my passion for all things creative by running Sunnyside Art House Studio. The home studio, set in a beautiful garden setting, enables me to teach and share all my knowledge to children and adults. I run workshops, after school art classes and holiday programs.
